OMG, the rebel in me would die if I set myself up for a 2,5 hrs of some routine, even if the most delicious one 😅. I understand that it's something your body needs right now but I wonder how it'd be if you started with some smaller pieces or more variety / flexibility in your routine. What works quite nice for me is that I know I want to do something for myself each day, but depending on how I feel I can choose if it's conscious rest, yoga, meditation, emotional deep dive, journaling, or reading. It keeps me accountable, and yet curious and attentive to my needs in each moment. PS: I had the same experience with Doyle's Untamed!

Haha oh gosh, me too, honestly! That's why I have varied it each day with that I am doing, but focusing on my hips and shoulders and strength. I choose different Yoga practices to follow everyday, but still, it has become tedious after two full weeks of doing so. But I know this is all temporary. And I am simply trying to find equilibrium with my body where missing a day or two no longer causes me any pain. But I am now in at the point where I am able to do exactly what you suggested--I go with the flow each day and open up curiously. So today that meant journaling and skipping my morning flow, but yesterday I did a morning flow and took a bath and the day before I did a morning flow AND an afternoon yin for my shoulders. But I needed that foundation, more-or-less, to ensure I could get to this point.

Ohh, that is so interesting to hear! We should chat more about her book sometime, I'd love to hear all your thoughts on it! It's one of my most annotated books to date--so many gems!

Yes, I also remember having many annotations and thoughts like :"OMG, her writing is so good!" and then: "hmmmm, I don't know about this one..." 🤣

Glad you're finding your own flow, it's a journey, for sure, but you seem to be well on your way!
